This is a difficult announcement for Loomis Industries to make. The LSD-100 had been in production for more than a quarter of a century. The 100 continues to be a workhorse in many fabs around the world.

Several manufacturing issues could not be overcome, including but not limited to the lack of availability of some of the electronics used in the LSD-100, vendors going out of business, and more. Retiring the system was our only option.

Support for Systems Currently in Use

The lack of availability of parts has forced some hard decisions regarding how we are able to support owners of the LSD-100s. We have evaluated our customer base, giving highest priority to customers who have purchased new systems from Loomis Industries within the past 10 years of the current date.

Service will continue to be provided to original owners of LSD-100 systems purchased within the past 10 years.

Repair parts for the older LSD-100 systems will be limited, with some parts being reserved for systems that are less than 10 years old.

Replacement Option

We have developed a replacement for the LSD-100, a “lite” version of our flagship LSD-155 system, the LSD-155Lt.
